乔治·格伦·琼斯（George Glenn Jones），于1931年9月12日出生在德馑萨斯的萨拉托加，他被认为是酒吧音乐(Honky Tonk)风格的代表人物,于1992年入选乡村音乐名人堂。他在年轻时代学习弹奏吉他，1947年时被当时的夫妻二重唱“埃迪和珀尔”所雇佣，这后来使他拥有了自己的广播节目，并且成为电台音乐节目主持人。他的高度近视眼和朝天鼻使他获得了“负鼠”的绰号，他18岁结婚但仅仅一年后就离婚了，1953九月他从电台失业之后就在经纪人Pappy Daily 安排下同The New Starday 唱片公司签约。他的第一张进入乡村音乐排行榜的专辑是“Why Baby............更多点这里
